Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 02:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 04:08 (twenty-two years ago)

my flight arrives on the friday night (25th)..

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 04:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Mine's Friday morning. STILL haven't got a ticket though, argh.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I am, but you knew that. You have my ticket, after all.

Madame Planchette (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:56 (twenty-two years ago)

If you want me to get you a ticket, just email me and I'll send you my bank account number and yeah.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you mean me?

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Yep

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:20 (twenty-two years ago)

But not at my hotmail account at saintelisabeth at orcon dot net. If you want to!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

You should come on AIM! But okay I will email.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey I was just going to ask what your email was E, I tired emailing you the other day but the hotmail bouncer threw me out.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:49 (twenty-two years ago)

That is to say, I tried emailing you

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I was going to complain you hadn't emailed me but then you did! Woah!

Madame Planchette (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

beth is going! i am not.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

can I please use this thread to write about other possible Auckland based activities around the time of this event?
I want permission.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:33 (twenty-two years ago)

does everyone have the non-seated tix?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I presume so, don't really know. Yeah of course you have permission, knock yrself out!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks.

I don't know what you mean that you don't know - do you mean you don't have your ticket yet, or you didn't specify?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Elisabeth has it, I didn't look at it. I'm sure it is, unless the people selling it didn't tell her or something

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I really really want the unseated ones (down the bottom) but I have been offered a mezzanine floor ticket (the most expensive ones) for $60 so I don't know what the hell to do...if I should try to find someone to swap or just turn it down and buy the $65 (+ service fee!) one. Hey Real Groovy don't give points for buying tickets do they?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

NO! Which is a real pity. I'll (or E and I'll) pay the extra for the floor if you want

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:03 (twenty-two years ago)

No the floor is the cheapest place to be!
the ticket I can buy is for slightly cheaper than a floor ticket but it's for the more expensive seated area.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuck it then! FLOOR! And yeah still the offer of some money stands, I'm sure. Not that I asked E.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:09 (twenty-two years ago)

thank you you are very very nice, I should be okay.
I got E a (very very cheap) creepy present tobring up. It might be cute but it's definately creepy.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Good, what'd you get me?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I got you a present Andy, don't worry.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

No I want more presents

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Mine'll be the best, I promise.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

eeeewwwwwwww, you two!

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha I was going to say that

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Geez it's a RECORD, calm down!!

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

A good one too

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:29 (twenty-two years ago)

One nickname and suddenly we're an item!

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:31 (twenty-two years ago)

no it wasn't the nickname it was just the "mine's the best, I promise"

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Well it doesn't look like I'm getting any others anyway

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:36 (twenty-two years ago)

hey sorry I haven't mailed your Big Star sister lovers CDR Livvie, I can still post it though I've lost your address, or I can bring it up, whichever you like.
Andrew I might give you an Associates Sulk if you haven't got it yet.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I've got that, I LOVE it

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Just bring it up, would be lovely. Nick H. felt so strongly about my not having that he threatened to BUY it for me the other day.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh so now YOU want presents, great

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Last I heard YOU had some for ME, bitch.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah I do, only cos I've been too lazy to send them. I don't even really know where yr birthday present is, actually

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm flattered.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't worry, Elisabeth'll know where it is!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

YAY!

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:47 (twenty-two years ago)

was it "fourth drawer down" that broke when I sent it to you?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah it was, but I got another copy. GREAT record, mostly.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

So is everyone going to be in town on the Friday night before SY? If so, I think we should all get together then, cos trying to catch up with everyone at the show would be a bit nuts.

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I was thinking we should meet up on Sat well before the gig, like 8 or so

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah Sat sounds good to me.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

That's a good idea too. Stefan recommended Mr Lucky's on K'rd as a place to drink in Auckland.

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

THAT PLACE RULES! It's horrible. We should go there for before show drinking maybe.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm excited about this trip. SY!

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

is it Chinese?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to check out this "stereophonic lumalab" thingy: Paul Bradley and Dan Agnihotri–Clark present ‘the stereophonic lumalab’ at Spiral Gallery in Queen Street
the stereophonic lumalab is an interactive multimedia experience. you are the art. as you step into the lab you become the visuals. as you move through the lab you are the sound. the barrier between art and viewer is demolished...

the stereophonic lumalab uses cameras, light sensors, a video projector, videomixer, speakers and screens to create an all-consuming audio-visual experience

come play!

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

It looks Chinese or something but if I recall correctly it was staffed by white bogans

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I just want to make clear I did not write "come play!", I was quoting.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Dead C are playing the following weekend, they're doing lectures (MM & BR).
And Shocking Pinks are playing.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Dead C? Fucking fuck! Where when?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure I like the sound of that exhibition. I'm quite fond of the barrier between art and viewer, myself.

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:32 (twenty-two years ago)

King's Arms.
oh yeah with cutie pie Alan Licht.
alt music 3

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Gonna miss it. Dang.

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

it sounds kind of boring, except for Pumice (I'm not sure who 10 acre blok is/are - sounds familiar) but that's heaps later, and I do want to see Alan Licht, luckily he's playing in Wellington.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

If the Dead C're boring I'll hassle Morley (on stage) to play "Bad Politics" again like I did last time they played the KA

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:39 (twenty-two years ago)

and Anthony Pateras seems like he could be interesting, at least to me 'cause he's on this record the review of which references john oswald and otomo yoshide which are up my alley

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 17 June 2004 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

they're last chch show (with greg malcolm at cloud9) was pretty cool, one big swaying mass of electronic and guitar sound..neat little tonal passages.. all that kinda shit

chris andrews (fraew), Friday, 18 June 2004 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

The Dead C? Sounds pretty cool.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 18 June 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I interviewed M.M. on the radio today, apparently they got offered the support slot on SY's Aussie tour but turned it down(!). Plus he said the Akiyama/Ambarchi/Licht fullas are playing down here in a couple weeks, w00t.
