Or Film Studies university texts in general: they often seemed to be the ne plus ultra of what crazed academics could get away with in a cultural studies tome. A lot of good stuff too, obviously, but I'm glad my semiotic analysis First Blood: Part Two days are well and done with. Anyone else?
