Experiment in Terror

A few months ago we were compiling top 20 lists -- I remember that gygax (was that how he spelled his name?) had Experiment in Terror as his #4 film. I finally got around to seeing it - and posted my review (along with some screenshots I took) on my blog -- would love to discuss it with gygax, if he's still around (and anybody/everybody else).

Here it is -- it was a great thread:

My Own Twenty

Mr Buddha! What a coincidence - I JUST rented it (well, got it thru Netflix). Will post back ASAP with thoughts (and will read your review after, too).

I can't fault your review, BB. If all the movie was as spare and claustrophobic as the first half-hour, it could have been quite something. But then it turns into the what's-stuffed-in-the-baby's-toy movie. Glenn Ford is great, though. He seems to have been doused with a pint of sweat before each take. And Lee Remick has one of the all-time classic film hairdos.

(Also: always entertaining, despite faults.)

HEY!!! Nice! I will read and compare notes later, perhaps after I revisit it again with your comments in mind.

Oh and there is a CD (a single CD in the US, a two-fer in the UK paired with Charade).

(caveat: there are only like 2 or 3 really great songs on the soundtrack, the music works better on film.)
