The Notebook, which I hate as much as I love, is a spectacularly solid (or, a spectacularly solid BM) Hollywood movie. That I call it my least favorite film of the year is my way of complimenting it. It is far more worth discussion than the merely mediocre likes of Ladder 49 or Raising Helen.
