Jorge Posada: man of many talents.

This guy just keeps getting better defensively. There was one game this year where he dropped two popups behind the plate but tonight he ended the game by gunning down (from his knees, Benito Santiago style) a runner trying to steal second. I think the book on Posada is that he's a weak catcher but so far this year he's just been really solid back there. Anyone else noticing this?

absolutely, his CS% right now is his best since 1998. he's always had a problem with passed balls, but i'll take him over any other catcher in baseball right now. one of my 3 favorite ballplayers, at least today. good to see you back, btw.

He left me a better-than-100% tip on a lunch tab once, even though the expo screwed up his order, so Posada is the only Yankee I'll ever root for.

something funny about yakov smirnov, bronson pinchot or jorge posada? if it's posada you're talking about, i agree. otherwise, we're going to have to have a little talk.
