John (jdahlem), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 01:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Last week, after the final NFL playoff game of the weekend, when all the teams I really gave a crap about were finally removed from Super Bowl contention.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 02:04 (twenty-one years ago)

two days ago, when talking about "24" running straight through to the end of the season, no weeks off, and my brother said, "Yeah, it'll carry right up to the baseball season."

Riot Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 02:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Soxfest was this past weekend, but I didn't go, because I kind of don't have much excitement for them this year.

I'll probably get into it as opening day approaches, but not too much before that.

Baked Bean Teeth (Baked Bean Teeth), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 02:14 (twenty-one years ago)

when baseball sports weekly published the al schedules i first got xcited cuz the A's and the angels are coming to turner field this year, amp up slightly the next week when nl schedules published and i indulge my 'if i had enough money/time to do the 20 game ticket package which 20 games do i pick?' fantasy, amp up slightly more when individual game tickets go on sell whenever, and then: opening day!

j blount (papa la bas), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 02:40 (twenty-one years ago)

When the Randy Johnson trade was announced and I realized that this was finally going to be the year that Steinbrenner busts that last big blood vessel.

I Am Curious (George) (Rock Hardy), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 03:23 (twenty-one years ago)

j blount (papa la bas), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 09:48 (twenty-one years ago)

My World Champion Boston Red Sox tickets came in the mail today. I am ready for baseball season, and fully expecting the reality of seeing them beat the Yankees at Fenway to be like a million chocolate-covered orgasms.

Daniel Cohen (dayan), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

i think, maybe, i will make it my life's most pressing goal to attend that series/game/one of those games anyway.

they're probably already sold out though aren't they. shit.

John (jdahlem), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 13:38 (twenty-one years ago)

When the Prospectus book comes out, and when the NYC SABR annual regional meeting occurs (both in March). And when Ralph Kiner mangles his first player name on exhibition season TV.

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 14:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I'm getting the itch right now because this thread is making me think about who I want on my fantasy team.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm... should I start prepping the Fantasy League? Or at least start a 2005 Fantasy thread?

gygax! (gygax!), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

jonathan quayle higgins (j.q. higgins), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I am strongly considering a Mets' 6-pack (I don't mean Beltran's abs) so I can get into the Yankee series.

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks Morbius, that book's definitely on The Must List, even though Am*z*n is on my fecal roster after the wild ride of last Saturday/Sunday.

Curious George Rides a Republican (Rock Hardy), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Bought my Mets 6-pack, even after finding out it doesn't get me on the postseason order list!!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 04:00 (twenty-one years ago)

The MLB job is a nights and weekends gig. You can do that AND your day job!

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 04:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Oy, the commute...

Stormy Davis (diamond), Wednesday, 2 March 2005 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Nothing like going home sick from work and watching some baseball. Watching the game today, I kept thinking the Mets were playing the Angels, as the Nationals uniforms are quite similar.
