Lloyd free to take on the Eagles
Thursday, 8 April 2004
In a huge boost for the Bombers, star full forward Matthew Lloyd has been cleared to play against the West Coast Eagles at The Dome this Saturday night. Lloyd's two-match suspension was over-turned at this morning's Appeal's Board hearing.

The Appeal's Board accepted that contact between Lloyd and St Kilda' Nick Del Santo had been made as a consequence of him trying to get his arms free of a tackle so he could execute a handball.

"I'm rapt to be playing and really happy with the decsion," Lloyd said after the hearing. "We have got a lot of players out injured at the moment and you don't want to have players sidelined when they are fit."

Well that's one less thing for them to whinge about. Which we should all be thankful for.

Not a proctect species Gorilla Girl. Lloyd should never have been rubbed out in the first place. You wouldn't have liked one of your boys to be rubbed out for that would you...come on, be honest :)
