Campbell Brown - Report

Campbell Brown should be reported for the attack on Aker. Tribunal is always quick to find fault (rightly or wrongly) with Aker so hopefully they will afford him the same rights

Yes, Brown should go. He's not the smartest tool in the shed that boy. Interesting to note that Bazza Hall was reported but I clearly saw that no-talent Phil Read land a few punches in that skirmish on the wing. Did he get cited at all?

Also, I have watched a replay of the Catters v Dockers game and why the hell was Bartel reported? If the tribunal is relying on video footage of the striking charge in the last quarter then he should walk because I didn't see bubkus. And it's a bit rude to get pinged for unduly rough play when you can hardly stand up. Having said that though, the Cats have had a good run so far with the AFL lucky dip so I reckon Jimmy may get a week.

"If the tribunal is relying on video footage...

Occasionally or is that selectively they rely on the 'Balance of probabilities"!!

'Yes, Brown should go. He's not the smartest tool in the shed that boy.'

And let's face it, the particular shed he sprung from has never exactly been light on for tools.

Surely Read is gone once someone has a proper look at the video. The only thing that might be delaying the formality so far is that it was such a crappola game maybe Robbo had nodded off before they reached that point.

Didn't see the Read incident what happened?

He was swinging away like a washing machine. I'm fairly sure he landed a couple. Not sure who the Sydney player he was boxing on with.

Stuck a couple of fairly hard short arm jabs into the side of Maxfield's melon. Typical sniper stuff from Read, who is capable of little else. A genuine tough nut like Maxfield would barely have noticed but it all looked very ordinary on the box.

It WAS Maxfield. And they cited him! What a joke. Yes, that Read must think his first name is Chopper. At every contest he is shoving his opponent or grabbing a jumper. I wish Barry Hall had collared him.

Maxfield was pinched a minute or so earlier for throwing the back of his hand in the very vague direction of his opponent's chest during (or VERY marginally after) a marking contest. Would not have dented a tub of melted butter.

Which most likely means he gets 4 weeks.

I thought that charged had been withdrawn Fred, if it's the one I'm thinking of it was much less than I'd do at the workout!

3 Weeks for Bartel and Read doesn't even get cited. 4 Weeks for Jon Brown and Farmer gets off. You work it out...I bloody can't.

And I assume still nothing regarding Campbell Brown?

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

It appears Campbell Brown got off - not even cited!
