They deserve each other. Rubbish team and now a crap coach.

How come these clubs cannot see past the has-beens or never were's.

Eade's only contribution to the coaching manual was the flood. Maybe he will now introduce the reverse flood and have everyone run forward to kick a goal.

Sheesh, surely the Bullies could have given one of the assistant's a go. They have nothing to lose by putting Libba, O'Donnell,Royal, Harvey or even Sumich into the hot seat. But no, they opt for a hack because they think he will draw some sponsorship and membership and meanwhile they go further down the drain before they really bite the bullet and become innovative.

Losers all round.

Hey Westener I agree with you totally. Commiserations to the Doggies. Gary O'Donnell was on the Aka and Macca Show last night and said he was not interested in any of the senior jobs, and that he would be looking at his future and what he wanted to do with regard to footy at the end of the year.

He also stated that no matter where he went he would come back to Qld.

That O'Donnell is one smart man. Who needs to freeze your aggots off down South and coach a carp club and get all the piss poor results and have your coaching career terminated a la Frawley?

He's got it right- stay up in the warmer climes and bask in Lethal's reflected glory. If Lethal decides to give it away O'Donnell will be the first cab off the rank. Even a Brisbane past it's use by date would be preferable to coaching Richmond, Hawthorn or the Bulldogs LOL.

regards,

Yep,, I have great plans for O'Donnell, when Lethal retires to the Sunshine Coast to be forever a God amongst Lions supporters, Gary O'Donnell will take over Coaching which he will do until Michael Voss decides to retire ahve 12 months off playing (maybe assistant Coach with some Victorian Club just to shut them all up and then return in glory to take the Brisbane Lions to even more Premierships!

I think Eade's appointment is not too bad. It signal that the club wants to get back to being a hard, ugly but effective footy team circa 1997-2001.

Its a long way between intention and reality but I'm prepared to give them time to see how it pans out.

Rocket was renowned as a hard mongrel coach at the Swans - I reckon he's what the Dogs need

He'll flog the Dogs over summer, and if not successful, the kids will have bigger, stronger bodies and be able to compete in the contest where these days they get pushed out...
