if anyone is in contact with john darnielle can they pass on an urgent message?

i'm probably being massively oversensitive, but is there any way this revive can disappear quickly? i can think of a pretty obvious reason why the reappearance of this thread (with its reference to his mum going into hospital) might upset mark.

I would, but there's no real way to make a revive disappear, as far as I'm aware. I can lock it temporarily if you want just to let it drift down off the New Answers page.

As far as I know, Mark's not actually checking ILE at the moment though.

a revive will disappear off new answers if you delete all the new messages on it. Maybe this one should just be deleted altogether?
