Question about linking to a specific post in a thread...

THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS FEATURE BACK!

But, I have noticed that it only seems to be working when trying to link to the first or last 50 posts in a thread.

This works fine:

The 2006 American Midterm Election Day Thread

(should jump to a Trayce post saying "Agh fucked the html a bit sorry."

But this doesn't:

The 2006 American Midterm Election Day Thread

(should jump to a photo of Rick Santorum 3/4 down the thread)

1. right click "LINK" after the post you want to link to
2. click "COPY SHORTCUT"
3. paste as a response
4. submit response:

Yes, you're right, this isn't working as it should... I have fixed it, and a few other little things in this area and bookmarks that people haven't noticed. I'll deploy it later tonight, along with the Unicode fixes.

Cheers.

Cheers, no problem.

I have changed the way it works a bit - to make it do the same as bookmarks, i.e. don't show the messages (by default) prior to where you're linking. This is just to save you if you're linking to something in a 10,000 message thread having to load the lot, taking ages, to just get to one post near the end.

It's there now...

Thanks Keith and Grady.
