Another Mod Test Case

The poster gershy has posted on ILX pictures of my home, pictures of my workplace, and content that I posted on a social-networking site (without comment or explicit identification of these things with me), among a number of examples of arguably inappropriate behavior targeted at me over time. (all of this of course in response to my having called him nude spock for exhibiting some behavior with respect to others that to my eyes fell into one or more of the categories of conduct pashmina has now deemed prohibited or subject to mod review)

Is this deemed 'harassment' under current mod standards? What sort of mod response is appropriate? Would an appropriate response include an IP comparison to determine sockpuppetry? To the extent a mod has been the subject of similar attention, or mere attacks, from the same poster, is it appropriate for the mod to recuse themselves from evaluation of the situation, or does that merely allow a 'harassing' poster to go mod-shopping by attacking those they don't favor?

Again, I raise this issue in public for reasons of transparency and as a test case for the enforcement of new mod standards. I also don't couch it specifically as a request, because, while I understand that mods can't see or completely perceive every problematic post or even posting pattern, I don't believe that a poster should necessarily bear the entire burden to initiate mod action or specify a desired result.

I'd say this is harrassing behavior, although the correct way to go about addressing this is to ask the person to stop and, when they don't, escalate to the mods saying, "poster x is doing this harrassing thing, I asked him/her to stop but he/she won't, plz to do something".

I mean, this really is just passive-aggressive nonsense; you know this stuff is potentially actionable from a moderation standpoint so just ASK THE MODS TO DO SOMETHING IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE. They might say no, but ffs no one is going to magically see that gershy is being a stalker dick towards you based on that example.
