can we get rid of the fucking moron, please?

I consider this to be unacceptable. Even a fucking idiot-friendly list like ahot would have booted someone for pulling shit like this. Surely there MUST be some way of permanently barring him from posting here? Who is going to post pictures of themselves, or reveal much about themselves if it winds up being used as ammunition in some cretinous flamewar?

Pashmina (Pashmina), Sunday, 25 January 2004 20:23 (twenty-two years ago)

As long as Dan doesn't want him dealt with, my hands are tied. Remeber, Dan's in charge of ILE.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Sunday, 25 January 2004 20:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually fair dos Norman. Feel free to delete.

C-Man (C-Man), Sunday, 25 January 2004 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

But then again what sort of idiot posts pictures of themselves online? I mean, unless you're Brad Pitt it's a bit silly innnit? I would only do something like that as gun point personally.

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 26 January 2004 04:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Let's face it - if you get run over you're probably not looking where you're going...

He's being really unnecessarily nasty on this thread...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 26 January 2004 16:59 (twenty-two years ago)

WTF? Dude, I'm being funny!

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 26 January 2004 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Has something changed that I'm not aware of where banning Calum's IP range wouldn't also ban several other ILE posters?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 26 January 2004 17:32 (twenty-two years ago)

At least on ILM, the IP range he's coming in from is the same as Julio, Lynskey, and several others. At this point I'm now with Dan w/r/t having to log in before you can post.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 26 January 2004 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Waah make the bad man go away.

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 26 January 2004 17:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I think you'll find they just did.

the river fleet, Monday, 26 January 2004 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Yo Kate... have a doughnut. Thanks.

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 26 January 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Seriously, Kate, what is your problem with me? Maybe it's something I said at some point?!

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 26 January 2004 18:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm ok with log ins too - or possibly the creation of logged in, "moderated" vs. open/anonymous "unmoderated" sections for the two big forums. I think we've grown enough in size to easily support such a thing without killing discussions, and personally I find the ones we've got are getting almost too large to keep up with anyway. It's a solution that could actually work because what we have here (major, meta conflict wise) is basically people who want moderation vs. people who don't - I don't see why we can't do both. We shouldn't be afraid of change because the change is upon us anyway, so at least we'd have options. I might be alone on this track though. Any thoughts?

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Has something changed that I'm not aware of where banning Calum's IP range wouldn't also ban several other ILE posters?

Let me see what I can do.

Yo Kate... have a doughnut. Thanks.

HAHAHAHAHHHAAAHAHHAHAH, if he only knew.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Am I missing something? You guys have always been cruel to me. It's just not fair I tell you. I come here with nice intentions and now you want to outlaw C-Man?

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

why?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:31 (twenty-two years ago)

What have I done?

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:37 (twenty-two years ago)

SHOUT FOR THE MODERATOR VI

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 03:30 (twenty-two years ago)

If it doesn't affect AAD and I can still read ILE/ILM then I'm fine having my IP range banned.

Lynskey (Lynskey), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I'm not fine about that Lynskey, I enjoy yr contributions!!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 15:28 (twenty-two years ago)

My understanding is that banning your IP would mean that you wouldn't be able to contribute, read, or even access the site. Perhaps I'm wrong about this, though. Noodles?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Jarlr'mai who is on the same IP range has already objected to the idea. Oh well, it was a thought.

Lynskey (Lynskey), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 20:37 (twenty-two years ago)

If you let me at it, it shouldn't affect Lynskey and others.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 03:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Go for it.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Not fair. Many on ILX value and treasure my contributions.

C-Man (C-Man), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

These people do not include the people who run ILX, ergo you are SOL.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)

This is the official Ban C-Man thread

Is it really a good idea to get rid of someone who obviously craves nothing in his life so much as ATTENTION by creating a whole thread dedicated to giving him attention? Besides, I wouldn't put it past him to start a thread calling for his own banning just to call attention to himself. It's totally his style.

OK, I'm getting off the internet now and going for a nice walk in the snow.

The River Kate (kate), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't care what he craves, this place is enormously better off without his stupidity and nastiness. If you can get rid of him while not banning innocents, I'm all for it. Ditto Fitz, of course.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

You misunderstand. I was asking for the locking/deletion of both threads!

You know I'd ban the fuxor in a heartbeat if it was in my power.

The River Kate (kate), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah guys, chill out. Seriously Marty, the problem is this. I'm a) Not being nasty to anyone (really, I don't wish harm on anyone here. I enjoy a laugh and often or not ILX can be really funny) and b) All I've ever done is tried to encourage a bit of humour. How sad (and ironic) that those who indulge in sweaty group sex/ post detailed threads about their sex life and yet call others sleazy cannot see the irony of many of my posts?!

C-Man (C-Man), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:51 (twenty-two years ago)

In other words, I've only tried for a few decent laffs on this forum and I apologise if it's been taken the wrong way. I may even reform and find religion - who knows? Who can predict anything?

C-Man (C-Man), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:53 (twenty-two years ago)

That's not the point. The point is we're now completely tired of you and want you to fuck off.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I propose that the titles of all his threads get changed to "Hey, guys, notice me! Please!" so they more accurately reflect their contents.

Marcel Post (Marcel Post), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm all for it. Ditto Fitz, of course.

He should be castrated now. Let me know if his links keep appearing in the future.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 29 January 2004 02:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Ye need not worry - I have found a different form of expression, and may ye all be saved. Hallelujah!

The Artist Formerly Known as C-Man (The Artist Formerly Known as C), Friday, 30 January 2004 02:32 (twenty-two years ago)

OKay, the adminpage fix can wait.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 30 January 2004 02:39 (twenty-two years ago)

No wait, they can both be done together. Tom, Mark S, Andrew, Dan, Sean and Martin will have to deal with him for the next couple of days on your own.
