Ken L (Ken L), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

could you explain the problem in a little more detail, so i can look see what might be causing it

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 20:37 (twenty-one years ago)

is it this:

http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/na/edt.html

i.e. that some places that have EST in winter and EDT in summer.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 20:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i think i see the issue. the way the code works it runs out of EST @ -4 hrs in 2004! i will add some back in if i can find a list of dates

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

ha, graham got bored i think with EST, all the other time zones run out in 2010! (except the chatham islands).

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

wait? how the heck do you make a time zone specific to a year?

absolutego (ex machina), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

God, I hate TZ coding

absolutego (ex machina), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 21:30 (twenty-one years ago)

so is it ok now?

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 21:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Looks OK to me here, thanks Alan, but what about the other US time zones?

Ken L (Ken L), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 22:19 (twenty-one years ago)

here in the flyover states, I'm an hour slow on CST and an hour fast on EST.

milozauckerman (miloaukerman), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

CRIMINY, it's ALL the US timezones, so i need to add dates for: US Pacific, US Mountain, US Central,

if anyone can supply dates AND times for the onset and end of the special times i'd be grateful - it would save me darting about looking it up on the bloody web.

TZs that are ok until sometime after oct 2010: UK/ire/port , Europe , E Europe, S Australia , E Australia , Tasmania , NZ , Chatham Isl

i will try to fix this for everyone before the end of the week
