i just changed my email address so its ungoogleable and now i cannot retrieve my new password.

this is a FAQ and the answer is:

re-register and take more notice of the text by the e-mail address fields in your settings. The text reads:

NOTE: Changing your email address(es) will cause your password to be reset and mailed to the new address (or private address if specified). Don't fuck this up!

i've made a little tweak which should improve this problem a lot.

if the public e-mail is changed and the private e-mail address is blank and left blank it takes on the OLD public e-mail.

As before, when the password is scrambled and e-mailed it is mailed to the private e-mail address in preference. The upshot of this is that the first time someone changes the address they used to register, that e-mail addy becomes the private e-mail addy.

That private email address has been registered by another user. Go back and enter a different address.
