know absolutely nothing about them. but a guy at my bar, who i kind of respect his tastes, told me to check em out. lumped in with bravery/killers/blah blah and all that?

brock (brock), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Futureheads are way better than Bravery/Killars!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I overheard this horrible conversation at a record store the other night between some cool dudes who were talking about how awesome the bravery were because they were like the arcade fire..."two best bands on the planet right now, bro"

Gear! (can Jung shill it, Mu?) (Gear!), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

rubbish.

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought so

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

ddb likes them. jaXoN's friend the random imer likes them.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

needless to say cutty likes them too.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:46 (twenty-one years ago)

heard bravery a ways back... meh... saw bravery on conan... less meh, more heheh.... conan should've intro'ed them as interpol. THEE CARLOS PRESS ON HAIRSUITCUT. hari-care. hairticulture. comblover.

futbolheads seem a little more palllateable...

i think my favorite right now from all those is maximo park maybe. "all those" being pretty undefined. maybe: the killers, bravery, f. ferdy, futurenoggins, kaiser wilhelm syracuse CHIEFs, bloc parity, ... yyy? ... should interpol be inthar?

msp (mspa), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:50 (twenty-one years ago)

this is not making them sound enticing

brock (brock), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:50 (twenty-one years ago)

furnitureheads are more like the numbers perhaps? quicker catchier... more frenetic.

at least what i remember.

msp (mspa), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

futureheads are ok background music. not offensive, not terrible, just there.

jack cole (jackcole), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

THE ALBUM IS GREAT. VERY PEPPY. LIKE XTC. MAXIMO PARK IS ALSO GOOD. AND DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS GREW ON ME.

THAT DOOD FROM THE BRAVERY IS A FUCKIN GOON.

ddb (ddb), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i luv them.

LUV.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

maximo park has a couple of very nice john hughes movie soundtrack pop songs, but the album is a bit dull. however: combover alert.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

still rubbish

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Executable.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

i think they're all right but not amazing. search: "man ray," their cover of "hounds of love," the max tundra remix of "decent days and nights."

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Community Cornerstone (deangulberry), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

i've seen futureheads twice. they're great. and I hate new bands and most music.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 2 June 2005 00:29 (twenty-one years ago)

cutty, they've done a whole cd of decent days remixes. i'm not too keen on most of it, but i can probably send you a copy if you want.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 2 June 2005 10:17 (twenty-one years ago)

i think all i need is that max tundra remix. anyone else interesting?

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 2 June 2005 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

charltonlido (gareth), Thursday, 2 June 2005 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

the max tundra remix reminds me of steve reich's "new york counterpoint."

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 2 June 2005 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I love "Meantime" but I don't think I'm a dude.
