OK, so "enchritos", "gorditas" etc. what is good? I like chicken better than beef.

Red Panda Sanskrit (ex machina), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

i haven't had a 7-layer burrito in 8 or 9 years, but i remember them as being good.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:06 (twenty-one years ago)

they're ok, but too much lettuce on TB products = dududududud

Red Panda Sanskrit (ex machina), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:07 (twenty-one years ago)

obscure taco bell items (very select availability):

double decker taco (supreme)
chilito
bell beefer

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

explain these thingz duderino

Red Panda Sanskrit (ex machina), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

the bell beefer sounds horrific, like a big sweaty wrestler or minor serial killer.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:52 (twenty-one years ago)

double decker taco was a regular hardshell taco and then encased in a soft taco tortilla with a layer of beans veritably cementing the thing together. it's really good.

chilito was like an inside-out enchilada with chili but too sloppy to eat with your hands like a burrito.

the bell beefer was like a mexican sloppy joe.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:56 (twenty-one years ago)

When preparing an enchirito, always place THREE slices of black olive, spaced properly, on top.

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Thursday, 12 August 2004 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

One time I ate a double-decker and the deceptive chewy outer tortilla tricked me into swallowing my bite before I had finish chewing the crunch inner tortilla, and thus I fucking raked my throat ragged with a piece of hard tortilla OUCH.

f you believe the western sun is falling down on
everyone
If you break it free and the morning’s come
If you would now your time has come
If you believe the western sun is falling down on
everyone
And you feel it burn, don’t try to run
And you feel it burn, your time has come

And I feel it
You feel another energy and I feel a power growing
You feel another energy and I feel a power grow
You feel another energy and I feel a power grow

If you believe the western sun is falling down on everyone
If you break it free and the morning’s come
If you would now your time has come
If you believe the western sun is falling down on everyone
And you feel it burn, don’t try to run
And you feel it burn, your time has come
I feel it!
You feel another energy and I feel a power growing
You feel another energy and I feel a power grow
You feel another energy and I feel a power grow

I'm really surprised that Gygax likes Taco Bell, esp. considering the Kobe beef uproar.

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't eat it at all unless i'm on interstate 5/101 and it looks appealing (aka maybe 1-2x year). the above was based on a lot of research in college.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

where did you go to school

Red Panda Sanskrit (ex machina), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Sir Chaki McBeer III (chaki), Saturday, 14 August 2004 04:13 (twenty-one years ago)

jack cole (jackcole), Saturday, 14 August 2004 07:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Sir Chaki McBeer III (chaki), Saturday, 14 August 2004 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

In October 1997, PepsiCo spun off the restaurant businesses (Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell) and Tricon was founded. May 16, 2002 Tricon officially became YUM! Brands with the addition of two new brands, Long John Silver's and A&W. YUM! Brands is now the parent company Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, A&W and Long John Silver's. When combined these organizations now make up the world's largest restaurant group.

andrew l. r. (allocryptic), Saturday, 14 August 2004 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

what a rainbow of flavor.

jack cole (jackcole), Saturday, 14 August 2004 16:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Taco Bell was the only restaurant to survive the Franchise Wars. Now all restaurants are Taco Bell.

andrew l. r. (allocryptic), Saturday, 14 August 2004 16:15 (twenty-one years ago)

YUM! headquarters is like 5 minutes from my parents' house.

hstencil (hstencil), Saturday, 14 August 2004 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Even back when they were called Tricon Global, their ticker symbol on the NYSE was YUM.

Monetizing Eyeballs (diamond), Saturday, 14 August 2004 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

yep. I've been in the HQ building too. When I was home from college, I was a KFC taste-tester a couple times. $8 for an hour, free food and soda.

OMG BEST SUMMER JOB EVER. Between this and the ice cream man job, you are king of stoner jobs.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Saturday, 14 August 2004 18:15 (twenty-one years ago)

It's not really a job, you get called in maybe once a month.

hstencil (hstencil), Saturday, 14 August 2004 20:27 (twenty-one years ago)

so you have to eat for how many hours?

cutty (mcutt), Sunday, 15 August 2004 01:54 (twenty-one years ago)

7 or 8.

dean? (deangulberry), Sunday, 15 August 2004 05:09 (twenty-one years ago)

1 hour, fule.

hstencil (hstencil), Sunday, 15 August 2004 18:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Chilitos were pretty great. I like to get some rice too. I don't know if they have it anymore, but it used to be like 45 cents.

artdamages (artdamages), Sunday, 15 August 2004 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

you don't wanna know what "chilito" is slang for.

hstencil (hstencil), Sunday, 15 August 2004 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

yes I do

artdamages (artdamages), Sunday, 15 August 2004 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

PENIS!

hstencil (hstencil), Sunday, 15 August 2004 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh snap.

Well I don't eat Chilitos anymore because I'm a reformed homosexualvegetarian

artdamages (artdamages), Sunday, 15 August 2004 22:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Warm smell of chilitos

Monetizing Eyeballs (diamond), Sunday, 15 August 2004 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)
