Stoked was Sooo GREAT! Sound of Music is a treat and TIME BANDITS is SIMPLY ONE OF THE BEST! My own movie choices would be Wet Hot American Summer, Evil Dead, Big Lebowski, Office Space, Alphaville & The Wicker Man.
And Dr. Katz was the best show on TV EVER!
Thx!

I haven't seen the movie in ages, and the last time I did was the edited for Comedy Central. Maybe if I rewatch the unexpurgated version, I will reevaluate my view. Also, I think Chris Meloni is sort of hot in it.

do you think the croupier looked better with black or white blonde hair? i think the former made him look swarthy and the latter made him look sallow, and i would have liked to see a more natural brown.

― tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)
I am delighted that, earlier on this thread, you have listed Pulp as a favourite. It is a bold move to do so on a board that is so hostile to european bands.
so the questions is: what are your 3 fave pulp albums?
(just an european) wondering,

― tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Thursday, 12 August 2004 20:11 (twenty-one years ago)
The Greeks also were into paedophilic buttsex. Do you approve? What about Plato's distinction between the world of being/the world of becoming? Is that also total bullshit?
xoxo,Ian
― Ian c=====8 (orion), Thursday, 12 August 2004 20:14 (twenty-one years ago)
Pedophilia is not so hot, but consenting adults (of homo and hetero varieties) doing it "Greek Style" is a-ok in my book.
I haven't discussed any Greek philosophy since college tho, so sorry. I only know about it relation to ART.

one late night a year or two ago after a show at my XGFs house in oakland, i was speaking to matt "eXtreme Elvis" about friendship and he said, "true friendship is someone who will take you to the airport". then i said "what about picking up from the airport?""well that's love""okay: what about parking gettting out and meeting you at the gate?""true love"
i like to keep these analogies in mind when pondering such subjects. what are you definitions of love and friendship?

"love is.... playing hard to get"
