Shamans and Llamas, the Turgun Alimatov record, Munir Bashar, etc.
the World Music Library label is also great and kind of unsung (CD era, so there you go I guess) .. dunno if the stuff is still in print. man, they had a shit-ton of releases though, like a hundred strong. The Music of Yi People in Yunnan, China is a big hit in my household.
