swayze bro or no?

dude really loves some fancy dancing and there is father hood and city of joy and ghost to answer for, but i think things come out in his favor:

the outsiders (bloody greasers)

uncommon valor (bloody big muddy mia revenge)

road house (homoerotic bloodfighting)

next of kin (bloody hillbilly revenge)

steel dawn (bloody post-apocalyptic murder gangs)

youngblood (bloody hockey fights)

red dawn (greatest bloody russian movie ever made)

point break (bloody zen surf robbers)

i mean, seriously, dude has spilled a lot of blood for such a freaky ballerina. i can't decide whether being the scariest drag queen on earth in To Wong Foo is a plus or a minus.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:06 (nineteen years ago)

totally a plus
swayze is a bro that you drink with when you run into him at a bar, but never actually go to a bar with.

Fetchboy (Felcher), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:13 (nineteen years ago)

layze boy

lame and too west village-y

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:15 (nineteen years ago)

dude, red dawn. wolverines!!!!

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:18 (nineteen years ago)

swayze is a bro that you drink with when you run into him at a bar, but never actually go to a bar with.

dunno about this!

you go to bar with swayze = you're going to punch some dudes
you meet swayze at bar = quite likely you're going to get punched by swayze

HPSTRKRFT (haitch), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:19 (nineteen years ago)

red dawn is like the only good thing this lameass ever did, and he's just one part of a great ensemble cast.

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:20 (nineteen years ago)

bro, but you might talk about him behind his back

david allen grier (dubplatestyle), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:22 (nineteen years ago)

he is way too into his lame dancer wife. there is that to consider. but he is a complete freak in a way. and next of kin is so boss! crossbow fights in the big city!

she's NOT like the wind

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:29 (nineteen years ago)

i knew a dude who was SO swayze. big-ass hick from florida who would play songs like she's like the wind on his acoustic in this sad trembling little high voice. musclebound soft rock hicks. they are some strange cats.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:37 (nineteen years ago)

dudes, 'next of kin' is pretty tight

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:41 (nineteen years ago)

swayze, liam neeson, bill paxton as brothers! ben stiller somewhere in the mix! helen hunt before she got super-annoying on that shitty sitcom!

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:42 (nineteen years ago)

helen hunt was rad when she was all after-school special and shit. i don't know what the hell happened to her. one suicide-inducing movie after another.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:51 (nineteen years ago)

helen hunt is the greatest being of all time. after jodie foster.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:57 (nineteen years ago)

they both bought the same nose.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 00:58 (nineteen years ago)

i just remembered helen hunt won an oscar for best actress

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:03 (nineteen years ago)

that movie was horrifying. only to be outdone by pay it forward. possibly the most horrifying movie i have ever seen.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:05 (nineteen years ago)

i'm not sure which kevin spacey movie is worse, 'pay it forward', 'k-pax', or 'the life of david gale'.

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:06 (nineteen years ago)

in my mind, those are all the same movie

rrrobyn sharkattack battleforcenet (rrrobyn), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:10 (nineteen years ago)

dudes, what about Donnie Darko?

gbx (skowly), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:11 (nineteen years ago)

pay it forward was like having kevin spacey, helen hunt, and haley joel piss in my mouth for two hours.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:15 (nineteen years ago)

helen hunt was in donnie darko?

patrick swayze was in donnie darko?

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:16 (nineteen years ago)

i remember when my dad made us go see pay it forward with him because he's all about movies that have lessons in them or something. he thought it was the best movie ever. i hated it. 10ish years later he still tells me i should see stupid moral crap but now i just say no then he calls me a fag for watching gay foreign movies all the time instead (i am a fag) :(

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:22 (nineteen years ago)

The Swayze totally did his own stunts for Point Break!!!!
that's undeniably BRO!

Fetchboy (Felcher), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:29 (nineteen years ago)

my dad just took me to burt reynolds and clint eastwood movies.and war movies. and westerns. i can't remember if they had lessons though. actually, that's not true. he took me to art movies too. i don't want to sell him short. he took me to a double feature of harold & maude and days of heaven once.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:31 (nineteen years ago)

tapping the source is a bad-ass novel. point break dumbed it down a thousand fold, but point break still rocks.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 01:33 (nineteen years ago)

you must have seen 'cuty heat', then!

my dad intro'd me to 'the hidden' and 'the outlaw josey wales'

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 02:31 (nineteen years ago)

i meant 'city heat' of course. i won't edit my error, though.

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 02:32 (nineteen years ago)

'cutty heat'

Lmaoborghini (eman), Friday, 21 July 2006 02:45 (nineteen years ago)

i still have never seen the hidden but i will real soon.

Nunca Llueve (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 21 July 2006 02:52 (nineteen years ago)

i did see city heat. my faves were gator and sharkey's machine. non-burt, my faves were the big red one and nighthawks. and thief!

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 03:31 (nineteen years ago)

no, wait, i'm sorry, not city heat, i'm thinking of Stick. which was horrible, but i liked it anyway.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 03:35 (nineteen years ago)

my dad took me to see atlantic city and gallipoli and fanny & alexander and richard pryor live in concert and the long riders and tom horn and serrano's piss christ at a soho gallery and the munch exhibit at the museum of modern art (the only large-scale munch exhibit EVER in the u.s.) and dizzy gillespie at fat tuesdays and lonnie mack at the lone star. but he's still a fuckin' square. hahahahaha! he dragged me to the roundup in philadelphia in 1980 too. 38 special/allman brothers/outlaws/marshall tucker band. i made him take me to the jerk, american pop, and a rush concert though. cuz i was too young to get in by myself. i'll bet he hates swayze.

scott seward (scott seward), Friday, 21 July 2006 03:45 (nineteen years ago)

swayze is like apple pie and blue summer sky. you hate swayze, you hate america.

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 03:53 (nineteen years ago)

i'm sure your father is a patriot and therefore loves swayze

gear (gear), Friday, 21 July 2006 03:53 (nineteen years ago)

my dad loves tom hanks AND kevin spacey but i bet he doesn't give a shit about swayze :(

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Friday, 21 July 2006 04:03 (nineteen years ago)

yeah, duh, swayze is in d darko, you fag.

gbx (skowly), Friday, 21 July 2006 04:27 (nineteen years ago)

CAST
Michael Buchbinder
ADAPTED BY
James Hook
DIRECTOR
James Hook
This is an absurdist stage adaptation of the 1992 Keanu Reeves extreme-sports blockbuster film. It tells the story of former college football star Johnny Utah (played by Reeves in the movie), who sets off in pursuit of the bankrobbing, skydiving, bare-hand-fighting Zen master Bodhi Sattva (played by Patrick Swayze in the film). The show features armed robbery, big-wave surfing, car chases, explosions, and no fewer than two extended skydiving sequences. The starring role of Keanu will be selected at random from the audience at each performance; the lucky winner will read the script off cue cards. The press release notes that "this method manages to capture the rawness of a Keanu Reeves performance even from those who generally think themselves incapable of acting." Point Break Live! premiered at Seattle's Little Theatre in 2004.
