Two player, cribbage. Four player, euchre. Card-based "board game", Loco.

I hate that my answer is M:TG but it still probably is. Netrunner, maybe, if we're just judging rulesets and settings?

Really? I mean, I never got into M:TG, but most of the Magic fans that I knew eventually got frustrated by it.

I played it for a few years, then the format changed a bit and I quit. This was back in 1998 or earlier. I sold alot of my cards though, made about 400 pounds, though probably spent around that aswell.

I like teh Settlers of Catan card game but maybe not as good as the boardgame. I like a card game called 'battle of the bands' as well, i'm not sure if the mechanics were that good and there was a frustratingly large amount of luck involved but it ws a novel distraction.

Cribbage. Or Cheat, with talented and pissed-up players.

Canasta, somehow I've managed an 11:1 win/lose ratio on Yahoo so far (I'm good at it, but not usually THAT good). It's amazing how many games of it you can win simply by actually knowing all of the sodding rules.

There is a Settlers card game. It's two-player.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 21 March 2006 21:05 (twenty years ago)

Will I like it if I like the board game?

Oh I didn't mean it'd be my favourite to play tomorrow! That'd be cuttle or seven seals, I think. I haven't played magic more than once or twice a year since I sold my cards about 1998ish? I just always take Pick Only One as meaning "for the rest of your life" - one of my campers last summer was a junior state champion, and I was amazed talking to him how the game had grown so much more delicate and intricate and clever with every expansion, mostly just by virtue of there being more and more cards?

i bought the card version because it ws two player. I like the boardgame too but didn't buy it.

jeffrey (johnson), Wednesday, 22 March 2006 00:56 (twenty years ago)

Hearts. I'll shoot the moon all over your face.

That was unfortunate. I apologize.
