Do you mean sports games that you play on a console, sports games that you play on a field, or sports games that you watch other people play on TV?

Being a spectator is not gaming.

The nice thing about ILX is that it regulates itself a little, in that any thread about something boring, like sports, will slowly die on the vine and be buried in threads about interesting things like Solid Snake's bottom.

Solid Snake's got a thing about bums - this we know. But what of his own? Do we get a close-up during the MGS games? I think we need to post pics.

i dunno. Why not expand the I Love Baseball/AFL/Cricket into an all-inclusive "I Love Sports," covering all the pro- and college/junior- leagues? it'd seem like you could get enough like-minded folks together to support a regular board that way...

Kingfish OTM. Not to say that the line between gaming and sport isn't a useful discussion point - and how does it fit with the blurred area occupied by chess and poker?

Games are a big subject. Sports are a big subject. Small boards are nice.

I wouldn't want an I Love Sports either tho.

what about people who actively play sports? and who like it?

i really don't care either way!! although i'm sure sports like baseball & soccer are big enough for their own boards (& there already is an i love baseball)

I guess part of why I ask is because Fantasy Sports certainly SHOULD count and there IS an ILX American Football (as well as European) League and if they'd like to move over here...

I personally love sports and love video games but would rather this board stick to video games, and maybe pinball, board games, etc. But, since my opinion holds exactly zero sway in this universe, I will shut up now.

I think that M:TG would be more appropriate for this board, tho some of us may snicker at the game.

then again, hell, i even had some of the Star Wars CCG when it first launched about 8 years ago. the Hoth cards were great.
