knicks do have some interesting matchup advantages, og gave wemby fits defensively, big strong wings can give wemby real problems as far as getting comfortable in his spots to receive the ball, cut off lanes that might be used for lobs, just get in his jersey to disrupt shots.art and bridges will give some problems, too. the big thing is KAT+brunson lineups will get exploited, thats just too many defensive holes, and KAT is their biggest offensive x-factor. if he gets played off the court and they bring in mitchell, he'll plug that hole but brunson will have to work even harder to generate offense (which he's really good at).

predicted spurs over knicks in 5 before the playoffs started, but i am now thinking knicks in 7. i want to believe, x-files style!

big key is hart’s 3pt shooting. if he’s hitting, it changes the equation.

a concern of mine: bridges is on a ridiculous heater (like 75% true shooting), which will probably end soon

most of the knicks are an insane heater, they’re shooting 40% from 3 *as a team*

i voted knicks in 6, i have no other basis for this prediction other than i just think ppl are overhyped on the spurs and underhyped on the knicks, and if this is one of those series -- kinda like boston vs dallas a few years ago -- that only goes 5 or 6 and seems over weirdly quickly i wouldn't be shocked. but i also could be way off on that we'll see

the whole series feels pretty predicated on KAT to me, in the same way that the OKC series ended up being kinda predicated on chet. any level of real production from chet and the thunder win that series. i wouldn't expect KAT to crumble into a zero -- though we certainly cannot rule it out -- but if he's playing well enough that the spurs have to start shifting their game plan for how to defend him, if they have to start messing around with what wemby is doing on defense so that he can stay closer to the rim etc then i think the series starts be played on the knicks terms. however if KAT is not really all that effective and the spurs can just throw a guy on him and let wemby do his thing then i think it's prob a wrap for the knicks
