So, who wants to shag me, then?

JUST TO PROVE A POINT!

(you knew someone would start this thread, and it had to be me!)

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:40 (twenty-three years ago)

no thanks.

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:41 (twenty-three years ago)

uh-uh

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:42 (twenty-three years ago)

What's in it for me?

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:42 (twenty-three years ago)

See? I TOLD you so! I rest my case!

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:43 (twenty-three years ago)

i have a headache

duane, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Let's see, a hot young blonde woman who I already like and whose company I enjoy... what do you think?

God it's hard to write that. Don't avoid me at the next FAP, Kate, I'll keep my hands to myself!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

I would need a plane ticket or (slightly) larger genitalia.

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't either, but come on, this is a small and skewed sample.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

shag you with what?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I would, kate, but I think you've already expressed a preference for DDBs, and I ain't one.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Jesus, Martin. Is that all it takes? (no offence Kate - I just meant his reasoning) You are a beast.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:46 (twenty-three years ago)

NB, this was not actually an offer. As I stated, this was to prove the point that no one would shag me, or admit to wanting to shag me if they were shy, repressed sad indie boys who would stare at their shoes and claim to be rubbish in the sack. Sigh.

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:46 (twenty-three years ago)

(I am picturing Martin wearing dirty dronerock boy fancy dress)

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:47 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm confused. Are you a floor in need of some sort of carpeting?

/really bad joke

Oops (Oops), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Having just read the bit about the 'crap in bed' excuse and insecurity, I would totally feel that. I've seen pics of you kicking your legs up on stage, and you are decades younger than me and (far as I know) not seriously asthmatic, so there would be plenty of physical insecurity if I were to end up in bed with someone like you. (I did have sex with someone gorgeous and fit and 18 years younger than me in 2001, and it was non-disastrous, but it was a bit nerve-wracking, as well as thrilling.)

Nick, no: I just mean that given that Kate is sexy and we've talked and I like her, is it really at all surprising that I find her sexually attractive?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:48 (twenty-three years ago)

if they were shy, repressed sad indie boys who would stare at their shoes and claim to be rubbish in the sack.

hang on - is this what you want? I am confused too. I didn't think 'dirty' really meant unwashed.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Nabisco ownz this thread at the moment.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, Nick, dirty means unwashed. Have you ever smelled Jason Pierce?

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Have you ever smelled Jason Pierce?

Paul Eater (eater), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:55 (twenty-three years ago)

if i were a ddb i'd have to decide whether to marry you first.

Maria (Maria), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 22:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually I think I did used to think it meant unwashed but then recently I thought you made a joke about someone taking it literally and assumed it actually meant dirty-minded.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry, what was the point of this again?

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:06 (twenty-three years ago)

It was supposed to prove A) that you could politely ask yer friends if they would shag you and elicit an honest response, as posited in this thread and oh yeah, B) prove that I couldn't get laid in a meat market.

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think you quite proved either point, though.

Chris P (Chris P), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:13 (twenty-three years ago)

di smith to thread!

di smith (lucylurex), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:14 (twenty-three years ago)

I've never met you, kate. How big are yr tits?

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:15 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm convinced.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:17 (twenty-three years ago)

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:17 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I like my girls a little less disingenuous.

how much $$$ do you got? i'm not cheap.

gygax!, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:28 (twenty-three years ago)

finding someone sexually attractive and wanting to shag them are quite different aren't they? or am i just hung up?

gaz (gaz), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:28 (twenty-three years ago)

yer body is a wonderland, ms. masonicboom!

Tad (llamasfur), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:30 (twenty-three years ago)

You're hung up, gaz. Awfully limiting to shag only people you're sexually attracted to!

Paul Eater (eater), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:31 (twenty-three years ago)

but that's what he's saying.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:34 (twenty-three years ago)

thanks: the world is now my, er, oyster.

gaz (gaz), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Well hurry up, then. May will be here before you know it.

felicity (felicity), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:42 (twenty-three years ago)

May?

gaz (gaz), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:43 (twenty-three years ago)

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Kate: The closest airport to me is Baltimore-Washington Int'l.

Also: Moustache on that coast guard officer = CLASSIC

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:46 (twenty-three years ago)

May is autumn down here. I go into hibernation.

gaz (gaz), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Oysters are out of season in months without "R." So the emperor in Life of Brian can never have them.

felicity (felicity), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:47 (twenty-three years ago)

I never knew ILE was such a hotbed of rampant lust! I'd have asked YEARS ago if I'd know this was the response I'd get...

::blows kisses and reclines of bed of roses::

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:48 (twenty-three years ago)

ILM ORGY AT KATE'S FLAT! YAY!!

Tad (llamasfur), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:50 (twenty-three years ago)

everybody bring a moustache

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:51 (twenty-three years ago)

The bed of roses sounds kind of uncomfortable. No thanks.

bed of ferrero rocher then

I was thinking more rose petals...

kate, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:59 (twenty-three years ago)

I was just surprised to read you quoting Jon Bon Jovi.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Did I say a bed of roses? Oh, I clearly meant a ROSEGARDEN... FUNERAL OF... SOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRES...

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:03 (twenty-three years ago)

can we bind yr breasts, and do a bit of the boading school rumpy pumpy ?

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

If I were more gay and less married, perhaps???

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:47 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm not gay, but I'd shag Kate. (oh, wait...)

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:49 (twenty-three years ago)

It's threads like this that remind me of this

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:52 (twenty-three years ago)

But all Kate is doing is asking if people want to shag her, she's not doing something as twisted as trying to send them pictures of clown monkeys!

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Or monkey clowns.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Wait, if I want to show-up for the orgy, do I need to invest in a moustache, or will the rule be waived for li'l ol' me?

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Thursday, 13 February 2003 02:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm convinced.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 03:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Why, Why, WHY do all the good FAP/S happen while I'm too broke to afford a ticket to join you all?

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 13 February 2003 04:40 (twenty-three years ago)

di smith to thread!

why?

duane, Thursday, 13 February 2003 05:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Was Nicole asking to be more gay and less married? All that Buffy watching has given her ideas. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 05:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm broke so you'll have to cum here (or pretend to, i'm insecure) and i'll shag you. i'll shag you again in May if u get off the pill, so we can have an aqaurian child. we can name it Momus II

Vic (Vic), Thursday, 13 February 2003 07:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan will "deal you around the room like a pack of cards". Wow, I'm awful tonight!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 13 February 2003 07:19 (twenty-three years ago)

does anyone not want to shag Kate? Apart from Hilton Betelgeuse, obviously.

DV (dirtyvicar), Thursday, 13 February 2003 10:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Winnie the Pooh

Vic (Vic), Thursday, 13 February 2003 10:29 (twenty-three years ago)

KITT

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 13 February 2003 10:32 (twenty-three years ago)

I do not want her sexually.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 10:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh THAT'S what you meant, I was really confused.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 13 February 2003 10:34 (twenty-three years ago)

So why do I have such a hard time getting laid, then?

Oh, that's right, cause I only really fancy H*****, Pliny and Cute RCA Who Scares The Shit Out Of Me.

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Cute RCA who scares the shit out of you? Does that mean you've been sneaking to the Royal College of Art bar, where DDBs grow on trees?

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Was Nicole asking to be more gay and less married?

Ned, now you know that is not what I meant. It's just that Kate's question one of those questions that can't really be answered because there are too many "what ifs" involved, so of course my reply sounded a bit clumsy.

And I'm not the one who wants to break up Tom's wedding, you know.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Pliny the Elder or Pliny the Younger?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:21 (twenty-three years ago)

No, more like the ICA bar where DDB's grow on trees. Duh, you introduced us, Suzy.

KATE, Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:42 (twenty-three years ago)

*wakes up*

Oh, now I know what you mean by RCA, chortle.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:44 (twenty-three years ago)

So Out Of My League I couldn't even find him with a map. And probably married. But still so terrifyingly attractive that he sucks thoughts right out of my head.

I'm hitting the three month mark, aren't I? The "oh my god, I'm never going to have sex again..." panic. Like Matt's book said, it's not the thought that you want sex RIGHT NOW, but the thought that you'll never have sex again is really depressing. And not even wanting sex, but wanting to be naked and holding someone. Dammit, I didn't want to like Matt's book, but I do. Poor Fat-Alex-Potato-Matt.

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Matt's book?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Matt = friend of ex boyfriend and former housemate. His book is coincidentally out on my birthday. I technically should fancy him, as he looks like a Fat Potatohead Alex James, and he knows his dronerock, but I just don't, and this disturbs me.

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 11:54 (twenty-three years ago)

I get that too: when you think that you really *should* find this guy attractive as he most certianly is but you just don't.

People reading these posts might think we have issues. Imagine!

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:00 (twenty-three years ago)

He Has A Partner In Holy Bedlock, And Wears Tweed Jackets And The Like.

This is why you do not fancy him.

(BTW Matt not fatter than Alex James. They are necks-and-necks)

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The reason I think I *should* fancy him is because both ex-housemate and ex-boyfriend REALLY fancy him. Esp. ex-housemate, I always expect them to start snogging at any second whenever they hang out together.

The reason that I don't fancy him, is cause I always see him treat said girlfriend like shit.

He is fatter than Alex James! But then again, I haven't seen Alex lately, depends if he's on the sauce or not, and Matt is definitely on the sauce and showing it. Miaow!

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Alex James is gack and always has been. And he has bad teeth.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Lara, them's fightin' words. Circa about 1993/4, Alex James *was* my perfect man. Circa 2002, AJ = his own walking portrait of Dorian Grey, but still. Don't knock the past. A girl can dream.

KATE, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:11 (twenty-three years ago)

alex james likes to beat up girls, right? thats what it says on groupiecentral.com, anyway.

duane, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Fighting words, Kate? Surely it's better for you if I don't fancy him , thereby eliminating potential competition?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:14 (twenty-three years ago)

in the past.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Have you seen his mouth though? I went out with a friend of his and saw a bit of him (95/96) and I thought he was yucky.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Who doesn't like to beat up girls? So much easier than beating up men.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:16 (twenty-three years ago)

This was my FANTASY, I don't care about the truth.

Never heard the beating up girls thing before, that's a new one.

Oh, WAIT... surely groupiecentral is not mixing up real life and "The Deep Field" because of Alex Slur beating up a girl? Oh, that would be too funny! It's happened before...

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:24 (twenty-three years ago)

(I wouldn't think AJ was that kind of person and reckon nobody else here actually knows him).

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:26 (twenty-three years ago)

you know AJ?

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:27 (twenty-three years ago)

That's what I just said.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:29 (twenty-three years ago)

No, but the character Alex beat up a girl in The Deep Field. Things that were written on Entertain Me! as fan fiction have turned up before, being reported as truth on the internet, so it would not surprise me if someone had read the Deep Field and decided that Alex James beat up girls because of it.

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:31 (twenty-three years ago)

oh, AJ is alex james.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:34 (twenty-three years ago)

AJ McLean.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:35 (twenty-three years ago)

AJ Sexmeal.

KATE, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:40 (twenty-three years ago)

AA Milne? AA whatsisface who does tele and restaurant reviews in The Sunday Times? Alcoholics Anonymous? They ALL beat up girls.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:40 (twenty-three years ago)

wait, so which AJ does suzy know?

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Aled Jones

duane, Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:48 (twenty-three years ago)

suzy better watch out or something.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Does he eat them after he kills them? Freak.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:52 (twenty-three years ago)

No, it is Alex James (cut it out Duane). We both kind of slipped into Britpop, art and literary scenes from Goldsmith's connections and now that's over, hang about in similar scenes to each other. But I didn't much care for his long-term girlfriend (stuck-up make-up artist) who I hear has been dumped in favour of a new model, and AJ is engaged to her. Last time I saw him would be either at some kind of Idler party, the Groucho, or at Salman Rushdie book launch/party. He always makes me laugh.

Uh-oh Kate, possible repeat of the Brett Anderson Incident if we ever meet him together.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:53 (twenty-three years ago)

(and after our first long conversation told our mutual friend H he thought I was cute, ho ho)

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Brett Anderson smells. And also has bad teeth.

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:55 (twenty-three years ago)

watch out or something, suzy.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:56 (twenty-three years ago)

i went to an ilder party at christmas for some bizarre reason. it was really odd. loads of alex james's and stephen frys in a row reciting what i can only describe as 'anecdotes'. it was quite scary.

never again.

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Brett Anderson too English to consider fixing teeth, has never ponged in my presence.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 12:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Lara is too young for Alex James' pals.

N. is OTM.

So is JRG, quite possibly.

the pinefox, Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Young = good, surely?

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, PUH-LEASE, Suzy. Do you think I *haven't* met Alex James by this point? Not bothered. He looks like a potato now. He even liked the Lollies.

KATE, Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:02 (twenty-three years ago)

I prefer potatoes to lollies, I'm sure.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Kate, that's a relief!

RJG, you are what you eat.

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:07 (twenty-three years ago)

who said anything about eating?

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:11 (twenty-three years ago)

EXCUSE ME, can we go back to talking about my shaggability, please?

As Alexander the James once quoth "Let's talk about me, LET'S TALK ABOUT ME!!!"

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:14 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm convinced.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, Young = Good.

Old = Bad.

See?

I still think RJG might be OTM. It's hard to tell.

the pinefox, Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Pinefox, are you on the right thread or are you talking about the age vs. creativity thread? Oh, wait! Young Alex James! OK.

We got totally derailed just cause of Matt's Fat-Alex-Potatohood. What does everyone think of this quote:

Like Matt's book said, it's not the thought that you want sex RIGHT NOW, but the thought that you'll never have sex again is really depressing. And not even wanting sex, but wanting to be naked and holding someone.

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Or as Bette Midler sez in Beaches: "But enough about me, let's talk about you... what do YOU think of me? "

Dave B (daveb), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:22 (twenty-three years ago)

You'll probably have sex again, and lots of people feel that way. It's what happens.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:38 (twenty-three years ago)

3 months? puh...amateur...

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:44 (twenty-three years ago)

I once went something like two years without sex. It was interesting, but I don't think I'd do it again.

Three months is the worst bit of it. After you've hit about six, you're resolved to the fact that it's a drought, and you stop caring or feeling so desperate. But at three months, it's fresh, it's painful and you feel like you'll NEVER have anyone ever again.

This probably wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't PMT-ing to hell... I should go and get some chocolate, replenish my oxytocin supply.

kate, Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Or as Bette Midler sez in Beaches: "But enough about me, let's talk about you

YOU MEAN ALANIS DIDN'T COME UP WITH THAT?

Vic (Vic), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:56 (twenty-three years ago)

The only thing Alanis really knows about is sex with Uncle Joey.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:57 (twenty-three years ago)

given that i am married, it's fortunate that I am a near middle-aged prog/kraut rock old fart, & not a hot DDB, therefore NOT IN THE RUNNING haha. That's my answer, er.....

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 13 February 2003 13:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I think what I said was perfectly clear. It convinced RJG.

the pinefox, Thursday, 13 February 2003 14:20 (twenty-three years ago)

three months pass...
How can this thread and the picture below exist in the same universe?

ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!

Why revive this thread?

Drunken insecurity. Just what I need to see on a morning when I'm feeling particularly shit.

So I'm getting good sex on a regular basis. And I'm still depressed and my life still seems like a big pile of poo. Should I start a thread entitled "So, who wants to give me a reasonably paid and vaguely satisfying job, then?"

kate, Wednesday, 14 May 2003 07:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Only if I can post on it too. Vaguely satisfying jobs for all!

i think you are being disingenous, kate or not being honest with yourself if you think you are trying to get an "objective" reply about who would shag you or not... i guess what i am about to say is i dont believe in objectivity...

i have never met you, but attraction is always dependent on circumstance. after all, to use the most extreme example, people who think of themselves as straight people often shag people of the same gender in prison, boarding school, or other same sex environments. presumably something they would never normally do.

in theory everyone in the whole world and history could have found you attractive at a particular moment in time.

the internet is no different. you dont know what people are doing when they read your message. they could have just being watching several hours of highly stimulating erotic material to help them through a lonely phase or they may be a very happily married person whose just been to church with their mum. and that is just the starting point. whether they want to shag you in theory is subject to too many moment specific influences.

i think what you are really asking is for a no strings attached compliment [detached because it is written], unless you are trying to speak to someone in particular but using the veil of addressing everyone. still there is certainly nothing wrong with that.

someone give this woman a charming compliment for chrissake

Hurrah for the good sex, kate. And I hope you can get a great job soon, have your cake and eat it too. :)

OK, it's very strange to see this thread taken out of context, detached from its original meaning - it does look like I was blatantly fishing for compliments, or worse.

At the time I started this thread, I was involved in a very painful situation with a man who was deliberately *encouraging* my sexual attraction towards him in order to obtain (what he perceived as) "career advancement" from me, while refusing to actually consumate the relationship.

The thread wasn't neccessarily meant as a "no one wants to shag me/no one finds me attractive" cry for attention - though that's how it turned out. It was more like "what is wrong with me that HB won't shag me!!!" I felt like, because *he* was playing games, that no one else would ever be attracted to me.

In the end, when I found out what his game was and what his motivations were. But at the time, it was a hellish shred to my self esteem, perplexing and upsetting.

Obviously, I've got over this feeling, through having an amazingly sexy, creative, and (sometimes intimidatingly) intelligent man make it very clear that he finds me worthy of shagging, and a whole lot more. So I guess all you people who said "it's not you, it's HB being a dick, someone else will come along" were right. Much though I hate to admit it.

But you can continue complimenting my 'doo if you like, Nordicskillz. I thought your hair was good when I met you, as well. :-)

Oh, pshaw!

It needs a cut so badly. Gonna take the dodgy Camden £5 haircut challenge later tonight.

But thanks.

one year passes...
Oh christ, why did I reread this thread? What a mistake.

I was hoping that the original thread would make me laugh, and reassure my ego just a little, tiny bit. But my addenda at the end just made me cry.

Nice picture, though, I always wondered where there was a copy of it...

It was supposed to prove A) that you could politely ask yer friends if they would shag you and elicit an honest response, as posited in this thread.

you can't really prove that here because it's different asking someone like in private than asking somebody on a public internet message board (which kinda isn't all that polite!! i general "so, who wants to shag me, then?" isn't exactly personal!!)
