Yes.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I agree.

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

neither

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Johnny is aging gracefully, isn't he!

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I hate that guy.

Mark (MarkR), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I got stuff between my teeth bigger than him.

Luigi Vampa (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't realize there was a difference between the two.

(P.S. How subversive was his "Judge Judy" appearance a few years back?)

Joseph McCombs, Tuesday, 20 January 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I Am The Anti-Christ, Get Me Out Of Here!

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Not sure, but it seems appropo. I'd love to see Rotten go toe to toe with Simon Whatshisname from American Idol. That would be interesting, appropriate television.

maria b (maria b), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 23:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I would love to see Rotten mauled by bears.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 23:06 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a little too easy to hate John Lydon. Maybe that's why they're putting him on "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here." Not that I've watched it consistently... but I think I may have seen a promo of the first season with Melissa Rivers... was it? Ouch.

I thought that we dispensed with the bile for a while with the trustfunded nepotist thread. I saw some names there that struck much more wincing action than Johnny ever should.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Farting in the mouth of Kim Gordon, onstage, preferably in Boston, is the only punk rock action left worth thinking about.

There are now four threads started about this within a day. He's still got it.

The Plastic Fork (Pashmina), Saturday, 4 October 2008 17:18 (seventeen years ago)

(Lydon, that is)

The Plastic Fork (Pashmina), Saturday, 4 October 2008 17:18 (seventeen years ago)

There's worse. The Eagles are still releasing albums and they *Always* sucked.

rjberry, Saturday, 4 October 2008 17:55 (seventeen years ago)

Quote from Johnny Rotten: “I for one am proud to be British and I’m proud to get behind a proper British brand. That’s why I’m supporting Country Life butter.

“People know I only do things that I want to or that I believe in and I have to do it my way. I’ve never done anything like this before and never thought I would but this Country Life ad was made for me and I couldn’t resist the opportunity.”

I'm off out now but I'll have to get some opportunity out of the bank machine first.

That commercial is kind of awesome.

leavethecapital, Saturday, 4 October 2008 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

This is a blatant ploy to show Mr Lydon in a "I can be a wacky TV personality, phone my agent" light...

I say bring it on, myself.

Mark G, Monday, 6 October 2008 13:24 (seventeen years ago)

I was flicking through some films I'd downloaded, and found an old "Rock Bands" X-Factor style USA show I didn't know I'd downloaded. Lydon as Cowell. It sort of worked...

Mark G, Monday, 6 October 2008 13:25 (seventeen years ago)

He just about pulls this kind of shit off through sheer gusto and force of personality. If I had any emotional investment in punk I might feel different though.

chap, Monday, 6 October 2008 13:34 (seventeen years ago)

for the money and to piss people off I would say
