1) the guy offered to pay $100 i think because the unknown identity of the song was bothering him for so long
2) the song was old, from the 80s, I think, but the poster uploaded a snippet of himself playing the melody on a keyboard
3) the poster, as far as I can recall, was not a regular

Thanks, but nope, that's not it either. Again, the poster offered money for the correct answer. Also, the one you posted is from this year, but the one I'm looking for is from 2002 or 2003.
