Albums that sound like their covers...

I have always thought that this http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B000024TUJ.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg sounds just as pink/purple fuzzy as its cover suggests. Likewise this http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000071WJ.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg is just as strange, faux-dramatic/romantic and airbrushed as the artwork. This http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000259BA.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg however sounds like New Yrok waking up and living through a busy day to me, not like some strange, mystical Arreican shoreline.

More?

Can someone sort my horrendous typos out?!

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Sunday, 19 March 2006 15:48 (twenty years ago)

No offense, but I think this thread's already been done, not sure where the old thread is though.

I guess I actually started this one:
Album art that perfectly conveys the music contained on the corresponding record

i feel like this has been done a thousand times, and it always starts with Loveless. to be fair, i do think that Loveless sounds exactly like its cover.

I think this album is as heartwrenchingly beautiful as the sunrise on the cover and the ugliness of the past being put to rest in the lyrical narrative. It also happens to be the album in my CD player right now. Maybe I think this about all my CD's.

whatever, it was psychocany, and as soon as I looked at it again I realised it didn't really pertain that much. It's just Jim Reid's haircut.

If this were a haircuts that sound like their music thread, hmmmm. . .
